Fishing Report 7-30-05
The fishing at the mouth of the Klamath river is very good right now, with early limits being landed by the guides and people who know what they are doing. Anchovies are out fishing spinners right now, Rogue spinnerbait rigs and straight anchovies are the ticket. Make sure to use enough weight to be in close contact with the bottom at all times. It's looking like it's going to be another great season on the Klamath River. The fall Chinook run peaks around the 15th of September on the Klamath River. I still have openings so call soon to book a trip 707-272-8258 Thanks Dave Fishing Report 7-19-05
7-19-05 another spring chinook season has come and gone on the Klamath River and a good one it was. The springers were not huge this year but there sure was a lot of them. The fall fish seem to coming in a little early this year and that's fine with me. I've heard reports of 2 to 3 fish a boat at the mouth of the river trolling big spinners. The steelhead seem to be in the river in good numbers also, guide Gary Farley had his grandson Taylor out on Sunday and had a very good day with adult steelhead landed to 9 lbs. Photo above is of Big Chris Smith fighting a nice springer and was sent to me by Tracy McCormack, Thank You Tracy, I still have openings for August and September so call soon for the best dates, Bigwave Fishing Report 7-12-05
The fishing continues to be be good with early limits daily, This latest photo is of Greg and Betty from San Diego with a nice limit of springers. We are getting some early fall run chinook also. I believe there are going to be a lot more fall chinook than predicted, we are starting to get some nice adult steelhead it looks like it's going to be another good year for steelhead . This photo is of Richard Buetiner with this beautiful springer, it was his first salmon and biggest fish ever. He had caught a barracuda before and handled this springer very well. He was fishing with his father Fred. Yesterday I fished my son, daughter and son in law to be and caught a nice springer for dinner. The fish are still coming in I believe. I've caught a few fall salmon already and that run may start early this year. Happy Fourth Of July everyone, call soon for the best dates. Fishing Report 7-1-2005
